Nicole’s design career started in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she received a degree in Fashion Merchandising with a focus on styling and product development. She continued her education at Kean University, achieving her second degree, this time in Interior Design.
Nicole has been employed at M. Frederick and Valerie Grant Interiors. In her time there, she formed Dalliance Design, her first design company. After seven years with Dalliance, she moved on to form Nicole Forina Home.
She currently works part time at Schwartz Design Showroom, an exclusively trade-only showroom. Over the last eight years, this has given Nicole the unique opportunity to specialize in the sale of luxury furnishings, while simultaneously building valuable relationships with some of the industry’s most respected designers and suppliers. As the lead showroom merchandizer and buyer, Nicole is continually honing her styling skills; her employment puts her in a unique position where she’s on top of trends and in direct contact with vendors.
Rather than focusing on a single style, Nicole Forina Home draws influence and inspiration from a variety of sources. Our designs are a confluence of items that utilize all price points, style eras, and design philosophies. From classic to contemporary, flea-market treasure to fine antique, interior design is a living art—it’s meant to be enjoyed aesthetically, but not at the sacrifice of comfort. That's why at Nicole Forina Home, we work with you in a collaborative process to ensure a custom interior that conveys your unique story.
Of course we want you to be thrilled with the finished product, but we want you to feel likewise about the process. We believe in honesty—we don’t conceal pricing; we don’t hide commissions. And we put an emphasis on customer service—the journey is just as important as the destination. We’re providing our clients with a lifestyle and a service—transparency and support are the cornerstones of our beliefs.
